SoCalMomma and Kai’s Review of Christmas Owl
This is a story of a Barred Owl seeking help from wary animals on the promise that their kindness will be returned. The short storybook is in rhyme, helpful for those home schooling and learning the subject of rhymes. The book has a heart-warming ending when the barred owl keeps his promise to the animals that helped him. The point I took from the storybook is that the kindness of others and keeping a promise may lead to a long friendship like the barred owl and friends. The art illustrations were wonderfully done showing details for a young child to look at.
The Christmas Owl would be a good book to read during the Christmas holidays to remind us of kindness. Kaiden enjoyed this book because he saw how the animals helped the barred owl and the owl’s gratitude.

Angela Muse
I was born in California to a military family. This meant that I was the “new kid” in school every couple of years. It was hard always trying to make new friends, but I discovered I had a knack for writing. I began writing poetry in high school and really enjoyed expressing myself by using pen and paper. After becoming a Mom in 2003, I continued my storytelling to my own children. In 2009 I wrote and published my first children’s book aimed at toddlers. My SIL’s mother and I are Christmas fanatics and we both love Christmas-y children’s books – we often find ourselves crying over them together from the kindness and innocence they always seem to illustrate. This will be a great one for both of us!
