Will it make a difference in your child’s writing?
I’ve noticed writing is one area that my son really does not like.
There is a lot of pleading involved when the lesson is only 10 minutes. But for a six-year old it may have seemed more like forever.
Kai’s handwriting was not so spectacular and greatly needed some help. I wanted to see if Startwrite Handwriting Worksheet Software would make a difference and it sure did!
Kai received his first customized writing sheet that had a picture of an ice cream cone at the end of his writing assignment.
There was some interest than I decided to switch it up by adding railroad tracks borders to the sheet which proved to more interesting for him since he’s a huge Thomas & Friends Fan.
Finally I started adding the Thomas and Friends gang on to the worksheets. I not only got a completed writing sheet back but the pic was also colored in..
All this in less than 10 minutes!
Imagine that! I only had to create customized worksheets for him to take interest.
Now our homeschool writing assignments have never been easier.
There is no more resistance no more pleading no more statements about not liking writing. Our homeschooling time has improved quite a bit all because of StartWrite Handwriting!
It is so simple! All you do is design the worksheet and use any types of letter and numbers to work on and just print it out!
I found this helpful because Kai and I could concentrate on letters and number that needed a bit of extra help to accomplish writing.
Not only can incorporate pics into the worksheet but StartWrite has writing guides to help your child obtain perfect penmanship.
The letter writing guides I used were the Starting Point Dot Step-By-Step Number Guides and the lowercase yellow shaded guides.
These writing guides gave Kai a visual and enabled him to trace and copy his letters. The last writing assignment he turned in was so perfect!
He followed the visual guides and he was so happy that he made perfect letters that his attitude towards writing has definitely changed.
So in a way StartWrite boosted his schoolwork performance by leaps and bounds. I saw improvement after two weeks of using the customized writing sheets. Kai has started to take pride in his perfect lettering.
After trying out the customized writing sheets for several weeks I handed him a plain writing sheet and Kai ASKED for a customized one instead!
Now those are excellent results!
StartWrite turned a strenuous situation into getting the child actually asking for one of the customized writing sheets.
StartWrite Handwriting Worksheet Software certainly made a good impression with this homeschooling mama and son.
Another feature of the StartWrite Handwriting Worksheet Software that I look forward to use is the cursive writing format.
I’m still homeschooling kindergarten but Startwrite will certainly be used when we get to cursive writing. StartWrite also has Spanish fonts for English-Spanish speaking students.
The initial setup is quick and easy. Startwrite works on PC & Mac computers. The software can be downloaded installed and registered in about less than 10 minutes.
Startwrite Handwriting Worksheet Software is priced at $39.95 but you can start a free trial right now to see how the program works.
I would certainly recommend this product for any stubborn beginning writers out there. Startwrite does perform wonders!
Startwrite can benefit homeschoolers and grade school children. The different types of writing worksheet made with StartWrite are endless!
